Get involved
Help shape the first draft.
Draft 0.1 is deliberately small. The next drafts should come first from the authors and rights holders whose permission everything depends on, and then from the people who publish, lend, teach and build with these editions.
Authors
Tell us which AI-enabled and immersive experiences you would welcome for your work, which you would not, and what you need to see before you say yes to any of them.
Rights holders and agents
Help shape how a specific permission is written down: which uses, what scope, which territories, for how long, with what credit, and how it is withdrawn.
Publishers
Tell us how you license uses of your titles today, and what you would need to publish a permissions record and a version-check record alongside them.
Libraries
Help us make authorized experiences, stable versions and clear verification dates understandable to patrons and staff, in catalogs and in lending.
Educators
Tell us what you need when you assign a work with AI-enabled features: knowing what is authorized, citing a frozen version, and knowing when a newer one should replace it.
Technologists
Review the permissions data model, the check-before-enabling rules and the version-check record. Reading systems and AI services are where the standard has to prove itself.
